Privacy Policy

HabitDam (“we”, “the app”) is a habit-tracking app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. We do not sell your personal data.

Information stored on your device

Habit names, completion history, streaks, XP, levels, badges, reminder preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Solo habit tracking works without creating an account.

Group quests (optional)

If you use Groups, HabitDam uses Google Firebase to sync shared quest data. This may include:

• An anonymous Firebase account identifier created on your device
• A display name and avatar you choose for groups
• Group names, membership, invite codes/PINs you set, leaderboard stats, and related activity

You can leave a group, stop using Groups, or delete the app to remove local data. Group data shared with other members may remain visible to them until the group is deleted or data is removed.

Notifications

If you enable reminders or group notifications, the operating system and (for group alerts) Firebase Cloud Messaging may process device tokens needed to deliver those notifications. You can disable notifications in system Settings at any time.

Advertising

HabitDam does not show ads. We do not integrate advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob or similar networks), do not serve in-app advertisements, and do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. The app does not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA for advertising purposes.

Analytics

HabitDam does not use third-party product analytics or marketing analytics tools (for example Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar). We also do not integrate separate crash-reporting products (for example Firebase Crashlytics) solely to measure usage.

If you use optional Group quests, Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Messaging) processes the limited technical data needed to run those features—such as an anonymous account ID, group sync data, and push notification tokens. That Firebase usage is for app functionality (syncing groups and delivering group alerts), not for advertising or behavioral advertising analytics.

Apple, Google, and your device may collect standard App Store / Play Store diagnostic or performance data according to your system privacy settings; that is controlled by the platform, not by HabitDam-specific analytics inside the app.

Children

HabitDam is not directed at children under 13. Do not use Groups features if you are under 13.

Your choices

• Use solo habits without signing into Groups
• Turn reminders and notification permission off in system Settings
• Leave shared groups from within the app
• Delete the app to remove on-device habit and progress data

Data responsibility and disclaimer

HabitDam is provided as is. Solo habit history, streaks, XP, and settings are stored primarily on your device. Group quest data may be stored with Firebase while you use Groups.

You are responsible for backing up or otherwise protecting any information that matters to you. We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, deletion, or unavailability of data for any reason—including device failure, OS updates, uninstalling the app, account/device transfer, sync/network errors, service outages, bugs, or actions by you or other group members. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HabitDam and its developer disclaim liability for such data loss or any resulting damages.

This section explains data risk and responsibility. It does not limit rights you may have under applicable consumer protection or privacy laws that cannot be waived.
